LimAteneo provides access to periodicals and series with a consolidated academic reputation and a specific research vocation in the fields of historical-musical, theoretical-analytical, ethnomusicological studies and in the studies of organology, archival science, musical iconography, philosophy and sociology of music.
The platform also offers rigorous peer review procedures for all content published by LIM.

Chigiana Journal of Musicological Studies
Chigiana, Journal of Musicological Studies, is a yearly peer-reviewed academic journal founded in 1939 by the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena.
Through its annual monographic issues, the journal promotes research on any musical repertoire, traditions and practices spanning different places and times, including Western Art Music, orally transmitted repertoires, technologically mediated and/or produced music, audio-visual media. While maintaining the highest scholarly standards in disseminating knowledge across the discipline, the journal aims to communicate specialist perspectives to a broader readership.

Imago Musicae
Imago Musicae is an international peer-reviewed yearbook that focuses on the relationship between music and the visual arts. Founded in 1984 under the auspices of Répertoire International d’Iconographie Musicale , it was edited for nearly three decades by Tilman Seebass. The publication includes research articles in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish from the most authoritative scholars. It is an indispensable tool for musicologists, art historians, archeologists, cultural historians, and ethnomusicologists, among others.

Music and Therapy, founded in 1992 by Gerardo Manarolo (APIM), is a journal published by the associations AIM, APIM, and CONFIAM with a frequency of two issues per year. The journal is primarily aimed at music therapists and all professionals interested in the use of music for preventive, rehabilitative, and therapeutic purposes.

Quaderni dell’Istituto Liszt
I Quaderni dell’Istituto Liszt, like theJournal of the American Liszt Society, the Liszt Society Journal published in England, and the Dutch Franz Liszt Kring, are among the very few journals that feature miscellaneous volumes and monographs on themes related to the life and work of Franz Liszt. Priority is given to the discovery of documents: letters, manuscripts, memoirs of both Liszt and those close to him who, in some way, contributed to defining his poetics or the sequence of his biographical events. Another aspect cultivated, entirely unknown to other Lisztian publications, is that of analysis, conducted according to the most up-to-date methods of systematic musicology.

The Rivista di Analisi e Teoria Musicale is a peer-reviewed journal founded in 1994 by the scientific association GATM – Gruppo Analisi e Teoria Musicale.
It publishes studies in Italian and English dedicated to the analysis of repertoires and musical practices from every historical period, genre, style, and geographical origin. Special attention is given to the interactions between theory, aesthetics, and hermeneutics; the history of music theory and the study of creative processes; performance practices and the analysis of performance; dynamics of listening and contributions from cognitive sciences in interpreting the musical experience.

Journal for the study and practice of early music
Recercare publishes articles on Italian music and musical culture or on musical relations between Italy and other countries, spanning from the fourteenth century to the early nineteenth century. Contributions in Italian, English, German, French, and Spanish will be considered.
