Introduzione

Abstract

The third volume of the Quaderni del Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana is being printed, collecting contributions related to the activities of two years (2023 and 2024) and focusing, as usual, on instrumental and vocal teaching issues. A common theme unites these contributions, the need to update teaching that is too often comfortably seated on ancient customs. The problem becomes all the more urgent if one considers the speed with which, in recent years, an increasingly qualified academic literature has addressed (and continues to address) important issues, making fundamental contributions and urging a radical revision of these customs.
