L' insegnante gentile: strategie comunicative e cura della relazione nella didattica del violino
Keywords:
emotions, learning, connection, communication, learning strategyAbstract
This work analyzes the importance of the emotional component in the process of musical learning and highlights how the emotions, whether positive or negative, that intervene in the interaction between student and teacher significantly influence the level of motivation, performance, and satisfaction of the student during and after the lesson. The initial hypothesis is that the adoption of targeted communication and relational strategies can improve the learning experience, facilitating the acquisition of specific skills, developing motivation, and promoting a serene work environment. The experiment, which involved three students aged between ten and thirteen, was based on a protocol that involved the application of specific communication and relationship strategies over the course of six lessons. The results confirm the impact that emotions have on learning and performance in class. A calm student communicates better with the teacher, consolidates and increases their interest, and more easily develops the necessary skills to self-regulate. Although it is not always easy for a teacher to adopt a positive and welcoming approach, they can implement targeted strategies that can improve students' emotional well-being, their level of involvement, and their motivation.
