The Quaderni del Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana mark the attainment of the level of maturity necessary to produce, within a University Music School, works characterized by a deep attention to the issues of musical practice — starting precisely from the teaching activities and the different operational areas of the school itself — and at the same time by the methodological rigor that characterizes a publication that has academic value. The contributions collected in this first volume reflect the different aspects of the institution in which they matured and are placed in varying degrees around the theme that is most central to a school: teaching.
